Catherine Demet has inspired a growing army of refashionistas. In the Inspire You workshop Upcycling Clothes for Profit, Catherine will show you how to alter, accessorise and combine clothes in new ways. She will share crafty ideas for new outfits from unloved clothes and charity shop finds, that showcase your own personal style. And there will be opportunities to find out how upcycling clothes can make you money.

Catherine says: “Having learnt a few tricks of the trade over the years, I am keen to share these with my students, helping to eliminate laborious, unnecessary tasks whilst aiming for a high quality finish, that looks anything but home made.”

She studied Clothing Design and Technology at Hollings in Manchester, world renowned for its courses in clothing and fashion. Working in the fashion industry, she was a designer and technologist for clothing manufacturers. Catherine ran her own business designing and making special occasion wear for private clients, and running dressmaking evening classes for her local College.
