Our Ambassadors are on board with the aims of Inspire You to create a network of talent, to inspire the change-makers of the future, to champion individual success, good citizenship and share expertise in order to inspire more people.

Inspire You is a not-for-profit organisation dependent on charitable donations. The practical support and inspiring opportunities we give, help people move beyond often difficult circumstances, in order to achieve their goals and, in turn, to inspire others. It is this ethos of entrepreneurship and sharing the benefits of the Inspire You support and safe learning, that enables this positive network to spread wider and inspire more young people.

Yvonne is a dynamic, entrepreneurial business leader. She brings energy, experience, dedication, and inspiration.

She started her own PR company 30 years ago, called ASAP Communications following freelance writing for Music Week and other national music magazines. She became the Music Editor for Root, the UK's first black monthly glossy magazine. Yvonne also was a founder and director of the UK's first black music radio station Choice FM.

Through ASAP Communications, Yvonne set up The Black Consumer Survey to research the lifestyle of the Black community across the UK.

She is a role model for young black entrepreneurial women and started the UK's first Black Women Business Network - The European Federation of Black Women Business Owners. Yvonne was awarded a CBE in 2003 for her services to women, small business and minorities.

Yvonne has over 20 years’ experience on public sector boards including the London Central Learning and Skills Council, DTI's Ethnic Minority Business Forum, African Caribbean Business Network. In 2005 she was awarded an honorary doctorate by London Metropolitan University for services to small business, and mass communications.

DArren moore

Darren is former Manager of West Bromwich Albion after an illustrious professional football career, including 50 Premier League appearances for the club.

He is highly regarded professionally and personally. Tony Pulis, Manager of Middlesbrough, knows Darren well. He has nothing but praise for him. “There is not a better person I have met in football as a human being. He is a wonderful lad. When he was my captain at Portsmouth, he was just fabulous. He gave everything.” 

Darren brings to Inspire You his experience of uniting people from diverse backgrounds, understanding community needs, improving schools and supporting young people with mentoring and after school programmes.

Darren says: “To see others being given platforms to flourish is an amazing fulfulling experience and it plays an important part on my emotions of optimism and joy. It gives a sense of strength to do the right thing as we are all human and one big family”

KARL GEORGE

Karl George is a thought leader and internationally established consultant in governance. He is Managing Director of The Governance Forum and creator of the Effective Board Member programmes. He works with boards and senior executives in the private, public and voluntary sectors and has over twenty years combined experience in accountancy, business and strategic development.
